Meet the Practitioner
I have been a nurse for over 45 years and have practiced in many areas, but mostly critical care. I always felt I had the ability to do hands-on healing but felt hat was not realistic at the time. That was until I found Reiki. It is now a recognized compliment to many medical treatment situations.
My practice is based on Christian beliefs. God gives His children gifts and expects us to use them. I feel this is His calling for me.

WHAT IS REIKI?
Rei means "God's Wisdom" and Ki means "Life force or Energy of God" or "Universal Life Force Energy". It is a totally holistic and natural ancient hands-on healing technique. The therapist guides the clients positive energy to replace the negative energy. This permits the healing to start. It is considered a complimentary to any medical or other treatment one may be receiving

It is a new form of Reiki developed 3 years ago. It is both more powerful and still gentle. Providing purification, healing, empowerment and guidance. Holy Fire Reiki comes from a higher level of consciousness.

Reiki is not a religion but it does follow Bible beliefs regarding hands-on healing.

A REIKI SESSION CONSISTS OF:
You lie on a massage table, or sit in a chair in loose fitting clothes. A covered blanket is available if you choose. Comfort is very important. The practitioners hands hover over the whole body from head to toe, front and back (if needed). No pressure or massage is ever applied. The healing energy knows where to go and how much energy to use. It can last from 30-60 minutes depending on the needs of the client. It can be described as a warmth, pulsating, or tingling sensation. It leaves you feeling profoundly relaxed, contented, refreshed, and balanced. Some experience an emotional release or even fall asleep.

THE BENEFITS OF REIKI
They are beyond measure. The most important thing is to clear the negative energy causing the blockages and increases the positive energy flow through the body. This quickens healing. When this occurs it causes the body muscles to completely relax. This supports and accelerates the body's natural ability to heal itself. They can be either physical, social, emotional, mental, or spiritual in nature. It cleanses the body of toxins, supports the immune system, and increases vitality. There are many other benefits but they are to numerous to list and it also depends on your needs.
BENEFITS OF MULTIPLE SESSIONS
Increased improvements can be seen with the repetition of Reiki. In relatively the same way as exercise does for the body.
Reiki is a complimentary treatment to help people. It is not a replacement for traditional medical treatment.

THE SEVEN CHAKRAS
These are seven main energy centers in the body that control the flow of the universal life force that comes from the KI that is all around us. Each one supplies subtle energy to specific parts of the body. They have frequencies that range from low (red) at the root to high (purple) at the crown. When they become blocked and the flow of energy is impaired, the body becomes sick deep inside and it works its way outward. If treated soon enough there are less ill effects noted and health is recovered sooner.

DR. MIKAO USUI
Founder of Usui Reiki Ryoho (Usui Reiki Healing Method) was born in Japan and after many professions he went to Mt. Kurama for meditation and enlightenment or die. On the 21st day a powerful light suddenly entered his mind through the top of his head and he felt as if he had been struck by lightning. He received the gift of hands on healing that he shared around the world. His teachings were passed on through the generations.
He developed 5 Principles:

-I will do my work honestly
-I will be kind to every living thing
WILLIAM LEE RAND
Is the founder of The International Center for Reiki Training, the Reiki Membership Association, the Center for Reiki Research and publisher of the Reiki News
Magazine. He also is my teacher of Holy Fire® Reiki.
He has studied with multiple masters. All that are from the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui. He has taught all over the world and written books. He has developed Karuna Reiki.
